Job description
The Residential/ Commercial Cleaner is responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning and housekeeping duties in clients’ homes and businesses. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to health & safety standards, and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, staff, and the general public.
Experience & Overview
•
Perform high-quality cleaning services, ensuring all tasks meet or exceed company standards.
•
Follow health & safety protocols, including OHS guidelines; WHMIS training provided.
•
Use and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor maintenance machines, materials, and solutions.
•
Safely lift, push, pull, and carry cleaning supplies and equipment; move furniture as needed.
•
Physically demanding most days.
•
Climb ladders and perform duties at various heights when required.
•
Maintain respect for clients’ homes, belongings, and privacy.
•
Work independently and as part of a team across multiple locations.
•
Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
•
Maintain manual/electronic records; submit daily hours, tasks, and location reports to the Office.
•
Report all incidents, damages, or concerns to the Manager/Supervisor promptly.
•
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional interpersonal relationships.
•
Work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts as required.
•
Interact comfortably with pets and ensure safety around animals.
Requirement
•
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
•
Previous experience in residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or related work.
•
Knowledge of OHS procedures; WHMIS training provided upon hire.
•
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
•
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules/locations.
•
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
•
Must meet clearance requirements, including an RCMP background check.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service.
•
Comfort working around pets of all kinds.
